Equitable Financial has a unique summer internship opportunity for someone interested in exploring the intersection of Corporate Communications and Talent Acquisition. In this role, you will work closely with both teams to help Equitable develop brand and audience appropriate communication to build our brand as an employer of choice and attract early career talent to our organization.
Location preference for this internship is in Equitable's Corporate headquarters located in New York City.
What you will do:
- Partner with the Corporate Communications team, recruiters and hiring managers to support outreach to prospective candidates through social media platforms including Handshake and LinkedIn
- Monitor and report social media engagement on strategic and targeted platforms to build the company's brand and connect with stakeholders
- Conduct research and draft reports and presentations on various internal and industry-wide topics to support recruiting communications strategies
- Generate Recruiting Statistics reports leveraging tools such as Google Analytics to evaluate outreach effectiveness on Equitable's channels
Function as both a participant and a reporter on the summer intern program to create collateral on the program to be used in subsequent recruiting cycles - Schedule posts, monitor social platforms for comments and mentions, engage with followers, and implement strategies to increase follower growth and engagement
- Assist in the planning and communication of events for the summer internship program
Internship Details
- Dates: Nine week program starting in early June 2026
Location: New York, NY
Work Environment: Hybrid (2-3days in the office)
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
- Rising college junior or senior preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Expert organizational skills and the ability to follow through with tasks.
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms for professional networking.
- Ability to work the full duration of the program

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
