This role is located in Charlotte, NC and is on a Hybrid schedule.
Department hours are 8:30 AM ET - 5:00 PM ET. Overtime may be required to complete calls in queue post-5:00 PM ET

  • Retain Equitable's annuity contract holders through handling inbound calls looking to transfer their contract to a third-party provider
  • Expected to answer between 15-25 calls per day and make outbound calls as needed
  • Expected to used de-escalation techniques when speaking with displeased clients and/or external advisors
  • This position is highly customer centric; evidence of telephonic sales, face-to-face sales, and/or customer service experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with selling/servicing variable annuities

The base salary range for this position is $46,000-$65,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications
  • FINRA Series SIE, 6 and 63 - OR - 7 and 65
  • Resident State Variable Annuities license
  • 2 Years experience in Financial Services Industry
  • 1 years Sales/ Conservation experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Industry product knowledge
  • Sales and/or telephonic sales
  • Customer facing Sales experience- Financial preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Retirement/ Annuities Products

Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Financial Services Industry: Knowledge of financial services industry trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to provide specific financial advice to clients.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Strategic Sales Planning: Knowledge of sales principles, processes, techniques and tools; ability to develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging, as well as existing, opportunities and markets.
