Equitable is seeking a
Retirement Solutions Specialist (RSS) to join our Group Retirement team. The
RSS provides dedicated, concierge-level support to targeted Retirement Benefits Group (RBG) advisors and their clients. The role is focused on proactively engaging existing clients to strengthen their retirement readiness by increasing contributions, re-engaging clients who have stopped contributing, identifying asset consolidation opportunities, and helping retain retirement assets within Equitable.
The
RSS will work closely with advisors as an extension of their practice, using proactive client outreach, education, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities and drive meaningful client outcomes. This position offers a
remote work schedule that allows you to stay fully engaged with your team to provide outstanding, customer-focused service during our core hours (
9:00am to 6:00pm Pacific time zone). Periodic office visits may be requested based on business and training needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Proactive Client Outreach: Engage clients through outbound phone calls, email, and other approved communication channels to discuss their retirement savings, contribution activity, and ways to support their retirement savings goals.
- Client Engagement & Re-Engagement: Proactively connect with clients who have reduced, paused, or stopped contributions to understand their circumstances, provide education, address concerns, and help them evaluate opportunities to restart contributions.
- Contribution Enhancement: Identify and engage existing contributors who may have an opportunity to increase their retirement plan contributions. Educate clients on the potential long-term impact of increasing their savings and provide appropriate contribution options.
- Concierge Advisor Support: Provide dedicated support to assigned RBG advisors and their clients, serving as an extension of the advisor's practice and helping strengthen ongoing client engagement.
- Advisor Collaboration: Partner closely with RBG advisors to identify opportunities within their existing books of business, develop targeted outreach strategies, and connect clients back to their advisor when additional financial guidance or advice is appropriate.
- Client Education: Educate clients on retirement savings concepts, contribution strategies, plan features, and the importance of consistent long-term savings while delivering a high-quality, personalized client experience.
- Asset Consolidation & Rollover Opportunities: Identify clients with retirement assets held outside of Equitable or clients who may be at risk of moving existing assets. Educate clients on available options and partner with their Equitable Advisor to support appropriate asset consolidation and retention opportunities.
- Data-Driven Opportunity Identification: Review and analyze client and advisor data to identify trends, prioritize outreach opportunities, and develop targeted strategies to improve contribution and engagement rates.
- Follow-Up & Relationship Management: Maintain consistent and timely follow-up with clients and advisors to help move identified opportunities forward and provide a seamless client experience.
- Activity Tracking & Reporting: Accurately document client interactions, outreach activity, opportunities, and outcomes within applicable systems and maintain appropriate records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Management: Track and report key performance indicators, including outbound activity, client engagement, contribution increases, contribution restarts, asset consolidation opportunities, and other identified client outcomes.
The base salary for this position is $60,000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional work experience
- FINRA Series 6 and 63, active upon hire
- Life, Health, and Variable licenses, active or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- 2 years professional experience in a sales support or client-facing role within financial services
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional work experience in Retirement Services
- FINRA Series 7 and 65 registrations, highly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and advisors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client engagement.
- Ability to analyze data and develop strategic plans to increase client contributions.
- Knowledge of retirement plans, contribution strategies, and financial products.
- High level of professionalism and a client-focused mindset
Skills
